Cafe Anasia
About This Spot
Stepping into Cafe Anasia feels like finding a tucked-away corner where local rhythms blend seamlessly with the easy-going pulse of Honolulu’s evening scene. This bar and grill carries the laid-back warmth of a well-worn neighborhood hangout, the kind of place where familiar faces mix with those eager to discover a new favorite spot. The atmosphere hums with a casual, anything-goes spirit — whether a game is on the TVs, the jukebox spins familiar tunes, or a group gathers around a pool table.
Conversations drift comfortably across dartboards and at the bar, helped along by a thoughtful selection of drinks and hearty fare that speaks to both classic comfort and island-inspired flavors. It’s a place to sip a cold beer or a well-mixed rum and Coke while indulging in slices of garlicky, cheesy pizza or savoring the crunch of house-fried chicken wings. For those who appreciate unexpected delights, dishes like Thai basil clams or the surprising charm of crispy rice with pork appear alongside more familiar offerings — all of which feel designed to fuel long laughs and easy conversations rather than rushed meals.
The team behind the bar and the tables adds another layer of warmth, greeting guests with genuine friendliness that keeps folks coming back, not just for the food but for the shared moments and steady, welcoming vibe. It’s clear that this isn’t just a spot to eat or watch the game, but a space where community quietly blossoms — with every nod, shared smile, and good-natured debate that happens around the room.
Whether you’re stopping by after work to unwind or gathering with friends for a chilled night out, Cafe Anasia offers an approachable, unpretentious atmosphere that feels both comforting and alive — a true neighborhood gem where the pace slows just enough to notice the simple joys of good company and thoughtfully crafted food and drink.

The food was great. I love the wings!! The ladies that were serving and behind the bar where great as well and very friendly. They also have plenty of TVs for any games on, dart boards, pool tables. Places to chill and drink some and have fun all around. Atmosphere and the people that collect here all seemed to be having a good time or meant to encourage a fun chill vibe.

Came here a couple of times recently after a long hiatus and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the new food menu. Steak was well cooked and seasoned well, pork chops were a little dry but good flavors, summer roll comes with sausage which I thought was weird but ended up being really good. Beer pitchers are still cheap. The lot that used to be the old union headquarters is not a Hocu bank and is a paid lot that you download an app for your phone to pay. Pretty reasonable though. Or else look for street parking like usual if the small lot in front is full.

Good drinks and food. Enjoyable until a couple locals started arguing very loudly about politics.

Regular sports bar with a dive kinda feel but the food here is amazing and the service from the ladies working the bar and tables are top notch. They were very welcoming and down to earth and felt very personable when greeting and taking our order. I forgot our servers name unfortunately but she gave some great recommendations on what to eat. It has a modern up to date jukebox as well. Parking was right in front. I enjoyed it.
